Add a New Contact

Go to the Contacts module and look for the "+ ADD CONTACT" button over on the right hand side.

Click the button to open the Add Contact form.

You must give your new contact a name and select the type of contact. Everything else on the form is optional. You can start with a name and come back to enter the remaining details later.

Contacts are sorted alphabetically by name in the list view.

Name* (required) - a name to identify the contact, e.g., the company name

Type* (required) - the type of contact, e.g., supplier, customer, regulator

Inactive - leave unchecked for active contacts. Inactive contacts are hidden from search results and reminders are not sent.

Description - general information about the contact such as what they supply, typical lead times, etc

File/Photo - upload a picture of their logo, their product, or the person to help identify the contact

Business Registration Number - an official registration number, in Australia it's an ABN or ACN

Contact Information - Email, Phone, Mobile, Fax, Address, City, State, Postcode, Country

Website - a URL including the protocol (https://). It's easiest to copy the URL from your browser.

Assignee - the person responsible for managing this contact and their records. They'll receive reminders for expiry dates.

Contact Groups - select applicable contact groups to apply standard sets of requirements

Requirements - select applicable requirements individually for this contact

Risk Rating - select a risk rating for this contact to use in reports and search filters

Projects - select any projects this contact beongs to. If you don't see anything to choose, there aren't any active projects in your site. Add Projects in the Projects module.

Tags - seleect any applicable tags to categorise this contact. If you don't see anything to choose, there aren't any tags in your site. Add some Tags in Settings.


Click [SAVE] at the bottom.


If you are the Assignee or have elevated permissions, you'll be able to Edit the Contact to update their details.
