2024 June Updates
Summary:
- Assets now have 'groups' to standardise sets of requirements
- It's easier to add asset records to fulfil requirements and there's a new "gaps" view
- Training module has a new function for easier "read & acknowledge" type records.
- It's now possible to assign a task to multiple people (creates duplicate tasks).
- Fixed a double-click double-submission problem that some users reported
- plus other minor updates and recent bug fixes
Asset Groups
It's now possible to define sets of common requirements for a group of assets. This helps to standardise what records an asset must have for compliance, and makes it much easier to apply multiple requirements at once.
For example, if you have 10 company cars that all require the same 5 things, you can now define an asset group called "company cars" and apply all 5 requirements just by assigning the group to the asset.
Easier to add a required Asset Record
Some clients have plant and equipment with a lot of required records and we wanted to make it easier to add them. There's now an add button up in the list of requirements shown at the top right of the asset view:
There's also a new "GAPS" tab that shows any missing requirements and gives you another way to easily add the needed records:
To add records that aren't mandatory, the general "Add a record" button is still in the same place and no longer crowded out by other options:
Easier "Read & Acknowledge" training records.
In highly regulated industries it's very important for people to acknowledge they have read and understood certain key documents. When these critical documents are updated, everyone needs to acknowledge all over again. Collecting and managing these user-completed records is now much easier in QSToolbox.
Here's how these records are collected in QSToolbox.
Assign a Task to multiple users
Tasks in QSToolbox have always had only one assignee so that responsibility for getting it done was very clear. We wanted to make it possible to assign a task to multiple people where each person must complete the same task (like the "I have read..." tasks shown above).
You can now do that by selecting multiple assignees, and QSToobox will create a duplicate task for each assignee. You'll be able to see who has and who hasn't completed the task.
Minor changes and bug fixes
- column sorting and presentation is improved for the asset due dates report
- sorting by hierarchical types now groups child terms by parent type
- you can copy 'Forms' using a new export/import function
- improved handling of 'Registers' with many many records
- fixed a bug with display of the add related items field
- fixed a bug in calculating the closed date for an issue
