Approve a document

To approve a document it needs to be in the "PENDING" workflow state. The tab label will show "PENDING". If the tab still shos "DRAFT" the document will need to be submitted first.

Go to the "PENDING" tab.

The nominated Approver will see two workflow buttons - "REJECT" and "APPROVE FOR RELEASE". 

To approve and release the document, click on APPROVE FOR RELEASE:

Click 'approve for release', update the document due date, and click Go! to release.

An optional comment field will pop open, and a field to set the next review date.

The suggested due date will be based on the default review period set for this document. The approver can change the suggested due date.

Click "GO" to process the approval and release the document.


If the document is not approved for release, you may choose REJECT to send it back to draft so that the editor can make changes. When you select REJECT, you'll also get a chance to add a comment before clicking GO.
