Password Reset
There's two ways to reset your own password, or an admin user can do it for you.
Reset in Profile
If you're logged in, go to your profile to change your password.
Reset by Email
If you've forgotten your password, you can set a new one using the "Forgot Password" button on the login page.
If the reset email isn't getting through, there's a few things to check:
- has the message gone to your spam folder?
- is the email address is spelled correctly?
- does another user have the same problem?
- can the account receive emails? (e.g., the mailbox is not full, the account is activated)
If you're still having trouble receiving email, please get in touch with us so we can help.
Also reach out to your site admin (a user with the 'staff' permission group) since they can set a new password for you.
Reset by Admin
A user with the 'staff' permission group can set a new password for their users.
Go to settings, users, and click on the username to view the user who is having a problem. Look for the 'password' field and in the help text below, there is a link where you can set a new password for the user:
Once the user has logged in, they can change the password from their profile.
Please also get in touch with us if you're continuing to have problems with email delivery. We'll be able to give you some more information about any errors we're seeing, such as bounce messages from your email server.
