Injury Frequency Rate
QSToolbox calculates Injury Frequency Rates based on Incident and Work Hours data, displaying charts for LTIFR, MTIFR, and TRIFR.
- LTIFR = Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate
- MTIFR = Medical Treatment Injury Frequency Rate
- TRIFR = Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate
Each chart shows the number of incidents each month and the 12 month rolling average of the frequency rate.
To display the charts for a previous time period, select the end month and year in the search options for the report.
Hover over a data point to see the value for any month.
Calculating Injury Frequency Rate
The injury frequency rates in QSToolbox are calculated using the standard Australian definition:
# of incidents, divided by total work hours for the same period * 1 million.

Getting Started
Since you can create any Incident Types in QSToolbox, we'll need to configure which of your types corresponds to a Lost Time Injury, and which is a Medical Treatment Injury.
You will also need to have entered Work Hours data for the charts to display.
